Thirty-three-year-old Gregory Lindo, also known as 'Fox Road', said to be one of the promoters for dancehall artiste David 'Mavado' Brooks, has been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice and conspiracy.
Lindo was granted $200,000 bail with condition that he reports to the Freeport Police Station in Montego Bay every Wednesday.
He is schedule to return to the Montego Bay Resident's Magistrate Court on September 15.
Lindo, who is also from Montego Bay, was held in a sting operation by members of the Anti-Corruption Branch on Tuesday while he was in the process of handing over a sum of money to a man who had reported an incident of assault against the artiste to the police.
It is reported that the complainant parked his vehicle along a section of the Belmont main road when Mavado and his friends drove up.
It is further reported that they demanded that the man move his vehicle further down the road so that they could avoid a pothole, but the man refused.
The man and his son were subsequently attacked.
