MAVADO EXPECTED TO RETURN TO COURT WEDNESDAY ON ASSAULT CHARGE


Mavado is expected to return to the Montego Bay R-M court on Wednesday (07/03/12) where he will answer to charges of malicious destruction of property and assault.

When Vado last appeared in court the case was delayed by the request of his lawyer who asked for time to peruse documents submitted by the prosecution.

Tony Matterhorn says new song is not about twin of twins 2012


Despite what seems like a response to Twin of Twins, dancehall artiste and selector Tony Matterhorn says his song Send Dem Home is not about them.

About two weeks ago, Matterhorn released the song that seemed like a response to Twin of Twins' song called Lucky Boy. In the song they questioned the selector's victory at the Sting clash in December.
But in his recent song, Matterhorn says, "None a dem nuh bad like Madgie/ Ova Jamworld everybody see Matterhorn stand alone mi nuh need company/ Who nuh rate mi, mi nuh response fi dem/ Mi send duppy to the cemetery."

Sasique protests "unfair" treatment ... Following elimination from 'Magnum Kings and Queens'

Markella 'Sasique' Allen believes she was given a raw deal by the organisers of the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall. The deejay was disqualified from the competition on February 18, 2012 for reasons she says were unclear.

Sasique was slated to face-off with fellow contestant Little Miss on the night she was eliminated, but says she was not allowed the chance to perform.

Gabriel Challenges the Jamaica Broadcasting Commission for Banned Single “Come Now”


Cum Now, new single from Gabriel was banned from radio airways just a few weeks after it was released. The song was branded as too suggestive for airplay and was immediately withdrawn from the radio play lists.
