Sasique protests "unfair" treatment ... Following elimination from 'Magnum Kings and Queens'

Markella 'Sasique' Allen believes she was given a raw deal by the organisers of the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall. The deejay was disqualified from the competition on February 18, 2012 for reasons she says were unclear.

Sasique was slated to face-off with fellow contestant Little Miss on the night she was eliminated, but says she was not allowed the chance to perform.

"I wasn't given the chance to perform my song because they stopped me during the intro. I told Sanjay I was going to say something before I start deejaying, so he knew what I was going to do," she said.
"Mi tell Dr C (the selector) two times sey when mi a guh pon the stage mi ago duh mi intro first. I told him during rehearsal and before I went onstage, and during the intro he began to play the rhythm, so it look like is a plan thing," she said.

Sasique said she was told by the organisers that she used an expletive in her intro, this she strongly denies.
"I did not use expletives, I said 'unno nuh see sey a mad man dat, mad man can mine pickney, a nuh me tell har fi guh deh wid mad man', this is what I said," she told THE STAR.
The controversial intro was a dis aimed at Little Miss.
Sasique now feels robbed, and blames producer Sanjay Ramanand for her elimination.
"The judges were wondering why my performance was stopped because they didn't hear nothing wrong. From what I'm told, Sanjay was the one who told them to stop my set," she said.

Sasique also said it was announced that she sang a song that she was not supposed to sing, which led to her disqualification. However, she says that announcement was misleading since she did not get a chance to perform.

She also claims the show was rebroadcast without her intro being beeped out, which to her is an indication that she was innocent of the accusations.
"Even Little Miss tell mi sey she never hear nuh beep during the rebroadcast, mi and har a friend. I think it was an act of favouritism. They knew who they wanted to go through, dem did know sey mi ago tek it suh dem hol' mi back," she said.

Lost her job
Sasique wants a second chance to prove her worth, claiming she lost her job due to the dedication she gave to the competition.

The STAR contacted stage producer Sanjay Ramanand, and he said Sasique's intro was unacceptable.
"She went onstage and said a lot of things that were not rehearsed. She's not supposed to do that, contestants are allotted a minute to sing their song, and she used up the majority of her minute ranting. She behaved out of the script and you don't do that. The competition is too young for favourites, and Little Miss is nowhere close to being a favourite as yet," he said.

  1. First off I would like to say terrific blog! I had a quick question that
I'd like to ask if you don't mind. I was curious to find out how
you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing.
I have had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out.
I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems
like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin.
Any ideas or hints? Thank you!
